3rd International Summer Music Academy 2014-Kavala
With headquarters in the Municipal Conservatory of Kavala will be held this year on the 3nd International Summer Music Academy-organization of non-profit company "beARTive" with the support of the Network of Cities Municipal Conservatories-thus giving the opportunity for young people to attend seminars , workshops, speeches, lectures, concerts and high standards but to take part in competitions. The great success of the previous Panhellenic event (July 2012) and the Internationsl event (2013) in conjunction with the parallel lack of serious musicians / educators high quality events in the region focusing on young people, led them not only the continuation of the institution of the Summer Music Academy and in the expansion of Pan International organization

For those who want to dare for their dreams in order to become true..
The choice to become an artist demands courage. The artist is always a peaceful rebel against every system. His revolution is personal and has to do with his own beliefs. Talent, technique, exercise are not enough in succeeding and fulfilling our goals and most of the artists fail because of their bad self management. Our success is usually affected by our guilt, fear, anger and isolation and by phrases that haunt our childhood (“Don’t do that…”, “Be careful!”). The fear of failing lies beneath our actions and we decide to stay to what we know. This system of behavioral management stigmatizes our artistic decision and expression. The approach of the actor Socrates Alafouzos as a teacher and director is to detect these automatic behaviors, cancel them and turn them into creativity, inspiration and freedom -always in collaboration with the actor. Hence, the seminar is going to be organized in two axes: a) Work with the role and b) Work with ourselves. The main goal is to inspire artists to take their careers in their own hands, discover their inner treasure and decide what they really want to do. The seminar is addressed to actors, singers, directors and Drama School & Workshop students. After a private interview, people with no significant acting qualification will be accepted in order to join us in a special journey of self-improvement.

Εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα Avanti Maestro
Μια καινούρια θεατρική πρόταση, που συνδυάζει τη θεατρική πράξη, τη ζωντανή μουσική και τη βιωματική μάθηση καταθέτει η νεοσύστατη εταιρεία πολιτιστικών δράσεων (αστική, μη κερδοσκοπική εταιρεία) beARTive στα σχολεία της Πρωτοβάθμιας και Δευτεροβάθμιας Εκπαίδευσης.
Λίγα λόγια για την παράσταση…….
Τέσσερις εξαιρετικοί σαξοφωνίστες, με κορυφαίο τον διεθνούς φήμης μουσικό, Θεόφιλο Σωτηριάδη, ένας ανυπόμονος ντράμερ και μια …απίθανη δημοσιογράφος μπλέκουν σε μια ιστορία με πολύ γέλιο, υπέροχη μουσική και απρόβλεπτο τέλος!
• o Η παράσταση απευθύνεται σε μαθητές των όλων των Τάξεων του Δημοτικού και των Α, Β και Γ Τάξεων του Γυμνασίου.
• o Θα παίζεται τις καθημερινές σε σχολεία της Πρωτοβάθμιας και Δευτεροβάθμιας Εκπαίδευσης σε οποιαδήποτε σχολική αίθουσα πολλαπλών δραστηριοτήτων (χωρίς ιδιαίτερες προδιαγραφές φωτισμού, ηχητικής εγκατάστασης και παρασκηνίων).
• o Εάν η σχολική μονάδα δεν διαθέτει κατάλληλη αίθουσα , η παράσταση θα γίνει σε θεατρική αίθουσα της πόλης κατόπιν συνεννοήσεως.
• o Στο τέλος της παράστασης θα ακολουθεί διαδραστικό γνωστικό παιχνίδι και θα παρέχεται στους εκπαιδευτικούς των σχολείων εκπαιδευτικό υλικό ( πληροφοριακό υλικό και ερωτηματολόγιο) σχετικό με την παράσταση. Το υλικό αυτό θα μπορούν να χρησιμοποιήσουν με τους μαθητές τους, για να εμπεδώσουν και να επεξεργαστούν περαιτέρω τη γνώση που αποκόμισαν παρακολουθώντας την παράσταση.

1. Collaboration with Onassis Cultural Centre and Georgia Spiropoulos: performance Bacchae, Athens | 11 May 2013
The Greek première of Georgia Spiropoulos’ Bacchae is presented alongside another three of her works over a single evening. The common thread running through all the pieces is the human voice. Spiropoulos composes acoustic, electro-acoustic and mixed works in which she employs music technology. In her work, the avant garde meets oral tradition, and written composition the plasticity of the sonic phenomenon. Spiropoulos studied classical piano, jazz improvisation and advanced theory in Athens and composition, electro-acoustic music and form analysis in Paris. She has a master’s degree from the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS) in Paris, and is a winner of the Villa Médicis Hors les Murs award. She has worked as a musician and orchestrator in the sphere of oral music tradition, and as a composer-researcher at IRCAM, where she investigated ‘metamorphoses’ of the voice via computer. She also collaborates with a number of music groups, soloists and choirs in Europe, the US and Asia, from whom she has received a number of commissions. Her works are played at international festivals, and she is often invited to lecture on her work.
2. Collaboration with the City Network of Municipal Conservatories: 2nd International Summer Music Academy (ISMA), Municipal Conservatory of Volos | 13-21 July 2013
The great success of the previous Panhellenic event (July 2012) in conjunction with the parallel lack of serious musicians / educators high quality events in the region focusing on young people, led them not only the continuation of the institution of the Summer Music Academy and in the expansion of Pan International organization With their support, the Artistic Directors of the Municipal Conservatories and Greek artists of internationally action give a strong message ahead of the crisis passes as education and the arts.
Through the institution of Fellowships reward the progress of gifted students by supporting their parents and the family budget to continue their studies next year. The Organization aims to: · To give the opportunity to young musicians of all ages to attend seminars, master classes, workshops, speeches, lectures, concerts. · In- motivate young people to take part in competitions of different levels and ages supporting healthy competition while enabling them to earn discounts and scholarships for the next school year to attend the institution. · In high- standard performances of musical works and performances and productive exchange of ideas and projects between international artists and the arts in general· The implementation of training modules in the form of workshops / masterclasses collective action, which are coordinated in collaboration with Greek and foreign artists recognized action in contemporary or historical creation and execution. The topics of the workshops on the whole aimed at broad and substantive approaches to the art of music, and give special emphasis in original areas not yet integrated in the Greek musical programs of study.
3. Educational Program “Avanti Maestro” : Liza Konstantopoulou & Ku Klux Sax Saxophone Orchestra
A new theatrical proposal that combines the theatrical act, live music and experiential learning lodge for students at schools of Primary and Secondary Education.
Four exceptional saxophonists, with musical leader Theofilos Sotiriades(sax),a drummer and an impatient ... incredible journalist get into a story with much laughter, great music and an unpredictable ending! The show is aimed at students of all grades of primary school and A, B and C classes of High School.
